I bet a lot of you have heard about amazon.com before, because it is the most successful on-line bookshop with the biggest sales in the book sector. But maybe you don’t know that it provides about 3.1 million different books which are almost 15 times as many as the books in any other store all over the world while it only has 1600 employees. Now, it has already expanded its business to other fields, such as clothes, toys, softwares,which have also proved to be successful.
You may wonder what kind of website can create such a miracle. Then, follow me. I will show you the magic of amazon.com.
On the left side of its homepage is a list of departments, including books, digital downloads, kindle,electronics, clothing,shoes&jewelry, so on and so forth. With this list, you can see clearly what kinds of products it sells, and click certain department to select your desired ones carefully.
As consumers, we do want to buy something at a reasonable and relatively low price. Amazon.com just knows what we want, selling the majority of its products at a discount while guaranteeing the quality. Isn’t that fantastic? If we go to entity stores, we have to buy something at a higher price. And if we can want to bring the price down, we have to bargain with the seller for a long time which is quite troublesome. So, amazon.com saves us a lot of trouble.
