Prague Travel Guide: Enjoy Yourself by Purchasing Small Puppet and Wandering on the Astronomical clock tower
I like Prague, a city engraved with the name of one flash: Bohemian, Gothic, Renaissance, Milan Kundera, Kafka, puppets, small ... ... It is so diversified and mysterious a city that every year a large number of people are attracted to visit it again and again. In fact, it is a real city that each visitor should visit it indeed.
Old City
When I made my visit to Prague, I lived in a small hotel which lay in the old city center, filled with Gothic architecture through several alleys. The hotel is fabulous, because I can directly see the Prague Square, which is just in front of my room. It is not big enough, however, it is very good. It has been designed six or seven hundred years ago, till now it is still welcome to foreign visitors.
Astronomical clock tower
In Prague, visitors are dense. Although it was very cold when I was paying a visit to it. It still could not forbid me to enjoy this city. I climbed the astronomical clock tower and comfortably overlooked the old city from up to down. What a gorgeous view it was! If you have a chance to visit it, I highly recommend you to do that again. It was so fantastic! I do not know when I was surrounded by a man who was wearing traditional clothing. I just assumed that the guy who has the same feeling as me and also liked it very much. As I knew, he was a musician and came to Prague for inspiration. He took a trumpet in his hand, carelessly approached to the window and then waved to the crowd Plaza and started his song. His song was so melodious, which greatly surprised me. But anyway, it was so fantastic an experience that I could listen to free music here. It was so cool!
Small Puppet
When you were wandering in the streets, you would have a surprising discovery. I mean, you probably will find a lot of small puppets everywhere. It is said that the Czech puppet created by parents to give their children stories when their kids were still young. Later it could help them to develop their creative and imaginative thinking.
Puppet Making
Today, puppet making is more and more sophisticated. However, it has become a craft for them. In this country, Czech Marionette was much loved, because he witnessed the rebirth of a nation. In medieval period, Czech Republic was long been under the original rule of the Habsburg dynasty, and the Czech people were very worried about the disappearance of their national languages. Later, many people persisted in using the popular Czech puppet show, which gave themselves much more confidence in finding their own national identity. At present, the puppet show has been designated as the Czech national opera. My friend, will you be surprised? Come on, it is just a kind of Czech culture. You’d better know it before you visiting it.
Wandering on the Streets at Prague
I like traveling. When I visit a place in a country, I prefer to choose a representative, just in order to know its local culture and history. Moreover, I also like to walk and wander on the streets and join the crowd, because I want to feel what’s the normal life there is. As a member of the Socialist camp, the Prague city center has various museums which represented the symbols of communism. It is also very interesting and you should not miss it.
Museum
The Museum is located on the second floor of a building. It lies in the casino floor, which is close to the McDonald. If you like, you can easily find it. So far as I know, the museum area is of 200 square meters. It has four zones and exhibits relatively unorganized content: Marx, Lenin and Stalin statues; past slogans, posters and uniforms, badges, medals and so on. If you like communism, you should visit it. Also, if you grew up in America or Europe, you will also be very interested in it.
