New York Time Square Disney Store

I got the news from the New York Times which said that the Disney Store would be open in Time Square a couple of weeks ago. Once I knew it, I was so exhilarated. After all, it would be one of the biggest Walter Disney store in North America. As a citizen of the New York City, I was glad to hear it. Then I just thought, what would the opening ceremony be? Would it be fun? Was it necessary for me to pay a visit to it? I actually was not sure whether I should take part in it. But when I heard that our New York City Mayor Bloomberg would participate in it, I finally made my decision to visit it.

I Wanted to Participate the Opening Ceremony of the Time Square Disney Store

In order to participate, you’d better firstly have its tickets which would allow you to enter. Otherwise, it was impossible. After all, it was so big an event that many people would attend it. Luckily, I got my permission for visiting it. Thanks a lot for my friends who are working for the Time Square Disney Store offered me a ticket to witness this wonderful event.

You may be surprise that how could I get a ticket from my friend. Well, to be honest, I did not know him before, nor did I a good friend of him. I just added him as my friend at the Twitter, then took part in the activities of the Time Square Disney Store and luckily got a free ticket.

After getting my ticket, I was preparing for the ceremony and wanted to record this fantastic moment with my friends together. We went into the Disney Store that afternoon, just wanted to know the route there. However, we are unlucky to buy some of the NYC Vinylmation and I was refused to go upstairs. What a bad luck!

Visiting the Time Square Disney Store

Then the next day, I attempted to be active and witness the important moment for the opening of the Disney Store. I got up at 6: 40 am and arrived at the store at half past 7:30 am. While at that time, it just opened the doors there. Obviously, we were not allowed to enter at that time. Therefore, we had to wait for their business hours. We waited, waited for it again and again. It was so boring a waiting time that I even wanted to give it up. After all, I still had a lot of opportunities to visit it in the future.

Soon, I was called by a young gentleman and asked me to show my photo identification, then I was checked. Soon they found that I was a Twitter winner and got the permission to visit it, they applauded me and introduced the new store there to me. Then I realized that as a winner, they could give me a special offer. Wow, at that time, I felt so good.

Witnessing

Once entered the new Time Square Disney Store, I immediately went to the lower floor of the 2-story store. I noticed that there were a special Vinylmation and the Statue of Liberty 3” vinyl, I bought them as soon as possible. I was not an extravagant person, I just liked them so much that I bought them without hesitation.

Let’s See Upstairs

Soon it was 8:00am, then we were allowed to go upstairs. As we walked around the upstairs, I was totally surprised that there were so many excellent toys there. It was so amazing! Unbelievable!  I just  wandered there back and forth, looking various toys, and plushes, and blankets again and again, appreciating them one by one. There were so good that I imagined I could have all of them at that time. But it was just my day-time dream! 

Wandering and Ordering Newsletters from the Time Square Disney Store

After that, I stayed there for a while and talked with the employees and employers and asked them to send my newsletters when they were going to send them to its customers and left my address and email there. I also opened a VIP card for the Time Square Disney Center, because I knew that I would come back again and would buy more toys for my friends and family.

For me, that visit was an unbelievable experience.  During my visit, I saw various toys there and really enjoyed myself when I was there. It made me to imagine my childhood, especially those times when I spend my time with Disney World and so on. If you are also a loyal fan of the Walt Disney, I highly recommend it to you.
